What BestPlaces Users Say about Stillwater

Stillwater, New Jersey is a small town located in Sussex County with a population of just over 3,000 residents. It is known for its beautiful rural scenery and close-knit community. Many people consider moving to Stillwater for its peaceful atmosphere and affordable housing. However, it is important to hear from those who have experienced living in this town firsthand before making a decision. Here are four reviews from different users on the website BestPlaces.net, sharing their thoughts and experiences about living in Stillwater.

- "I've lived in Stillwater for over 20 years and I absolutely love it. The community is small but very welcoming and friendly. The town has a rural feel to it and the scenery is just breathtaking. The cost of living is very reasonable and the schools are great. I highly recommend Stillwater to anyone looking for a peaceful and safe place to live." - Mary K.

- "I moved to Stillwater a few years ago and I have no regrets. The town is quiet and safe, which was important to me as a single mom. The people here are nice and always willing to lend a helping hand. The only downside is that there aren't many job opportunities in the town itself, but I don't mind commuting to a nearby city for work. Overall, I am happy with my decision to live in Stillwater." - Sarah T.

- "I've been living in Stillwater for a year now and I can honestly say it's been a great experience. The town has a lot of charm and the locals are very friendly. The cost of living is affordable and there are plenty of outdoor activities to do. I do wish there were more options for shopping and dining, but that's a small trade-off for the peace and quiet this place offers." - John M.

- "I grew up in Stillwater and while I appreciate its beauty and tight-knit community, I couldn't wait to leave. It's too isolated for my taste and there's not much to do for young adults. The school system is average at best and the job market is limited. I would recommend Stillwater for retirees or families with young children, but not for young adults looking for excitement." - Amanda P.

Best little piece of paradise! - 1/19/2008
Have lived in Stillwater, NJ for 11 years and it is a nature lover's paradise. Unfortunately, my husband passed away and I want to be closer to family in South Carolina, so am hoping to find a farm like I have in the Greenville outskirts. But anyone considering a move to NJ, don't think it is all like Newark Airport! It is gorgeous up here and my little farm is surrounded by 600 acres of preserved land with creeks, streams, and mountains.  Read More
